Stefan Schran is a multi-talented man. On the one hand he has been a software consultant at authensis AG for many years, on the other hand he is a real adventurer who is also socially committed. And this year he will be racing with the “Bavarian Boheme” Racing Team on two rallies covering a total of thirteen thousand kilometres throughout Europe. “With our participation we not only want to realize our very personal adventure, but also collect donations for a good cause. That’s the basic idea behind every S.A.C. Rally.” So Stefan Schran.

The so-called “S.A.C.” rallies take you from the Baltic Sea to the North Cape, from sea level to 3000 metres above sea level in a 20-year-old Opel Omega called “Jörgy”. This will be linked to a fundraising campaign in which fifty percent of the donations will go to ident.africa this year to support the construction of a well for a primary school in Boboyo, Cameroon. This well will ensure the water supply for several thousand pupils and the teaching staff; a project of the highest importance, because on the website of the association ident.africa e.V. it can be read: “Education is the key to information and capacity to act” – and it is not easy to learn thirsty.

On 12.04.2018 the Racing Team of the “Bavarian Boheme” Racing Club met Fred-Eric Essam, founder of ident.africa, in Munich. The reason for this meeting was a “discussion of the situation” regarding the 13,000 kilometre European Rally, which the team will start this summer and with the help of which donations for the construction of a well in Boboyo are to be collected. On this occasion, Fred-Eric Essam and the extended team got to know each other better and the team emphasized that it is pleased to support a project that is led by an “inspiring person” who “works with creativity and passion to improve the living conditions in his country”. Finally, ident.africa stickers for the “Jörgy” rally car were handed over, which should also attract attention to the project during the rally.

For Stefan, these rallies are not only the realization of a personal adventure, but also an opportunity to collect donations for a project that is particularly close to his heart. He has set up his own donation page on betterplace.org under the motto “Charity-Rallye für DEEPWAVE & ident.africa” and asks for donations. “Water is life”!
